Ivonne Paniagua
Hello, I'm Ivonne from San Juan, Puerto Rico. In recent years, I've had the opportunity to coordinate the International Sailing Regatta. That experience has provided me with skills to work simultaneously on the sea and on land, including managing competitors, accommodation, sailboats, safety boats, race committee personnel, ceremonies, music, parties, press releases, and more. However, the most crucial aspect is how to handle weather conditions. The techniques I've learned help me make decisions for setting up my picnic.
My niece, Marielle, suggested the Mother's Day picnic in 2017. She chose the location, time, and food. We planned all the stylistic details, flowers, and setup. Years later, during the pandemic quarantine, I organized a surprise picnic to celebrate Valentine's Day for my husband. My cousin, "Yan," was an accomplice in assisting with the details and transporting the decorations to the chosen location in Naguabo.
When I posted the photos on social media, my friends asked me to organize a picnic at their homes. That's how the business planning started, coordinating dinners with low tables on terraces, indoors, and later on beaches and in parks.
Founder
In February 2021, with enthusiasm and determination, I founded Oasis Picnic. What started as an experience for two people has evolved, and now we have the capacity to accommodate up to 50 people at low tables. But we didn't stop there. We ventured into working with larger groups, up to 200 people, combining the picnic experience with guided historical tours.
Each event thus becomes a day that not only celebrates nature and good company but also the cultural and historical richness of the places we visit.
We are the first and only company authorized by the federal government through its "National Park Services" agency to operate on the grounds of Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristóbal.
Endorsed by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company and the only picnic company certified with the highest standards in the tourism industry.
My focus is not only on business development but also on constantly improving my skills. Currently, I am pursuing certification in Event Coordination at the Universidad Sagrado Corazón. This quest for knowledge not only enriches my ability to organize events but also reflects my commitment to offering the best to my clients.
Oasis Picnic is not just a business for me; it is the culmination of my love for nature and my desire to share meaningful moments with others. Each event is a new adventure, an opportunity to create experiences that linger in memory.
